We Tried To Quit Legends And All We Got Was Bronze

Oski, xFer, & Merc Season 5 Episode 161

The year flew by, and somehow we packed it with platform drama, late-night queues, and more hot takes than a Reddit thread. We kick things off with the TikTok scare and a heartfelt moment for the legends we lost, then pivot into why League of Legends feels like 3D chess with strangers. Our pop culture tour doesn’t stop there. We weigh Stranger Things season five against sky-high expectations, question what counts as canon, and speculate on time-bending endings without spoiling the fun. Looking ahead, we share a curated watchlist for 2026, Black Clover, Slime, Solo Leveling, Shangri-La Frontier, and more. Plus which movies actually have us excited.

SPEAKER_02:

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you so much for tuning in to the WBM podcast. This is one of your hosts, it's your boy Mark. Hey, welcome back, everybody. It's your boy X-Fan. It is your boy Hoskey in the middle. Guys, do we have a fun one for you today?

SPEAKER_03:

Man, we're gonna do a yearly recap, uh, pretty much breaking down where we've been. And uh any thoughts on uh catch up with uh One Piece that's uh of something that's coming up and has been going around the world between.

SPEAKER_01:

2025 and rewind. Let's read this area.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, our 2025 rap, ladies and gentlemen.

SPEAKER_01:

2025 rap, whatever you want to call it.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, this is it, and uh, we hope you guys enjoy it. This is gonna be a fun one. Right. Are you guys ready? Get ready, y'all.

SPEAKER_00:

Let's go.

SPEAKER_03:

So high. So highway. Halfway through the decade, am I right? So high.

SPEAKER_01:

I guess thankfully, yeah. Halfway through the decade. 2020 feces.

SPEAKER_03:

Can we get much high?

SPEAKER_01:

Quarter way into the century? I feel like this year just kind of flew by, you know. It was over, like, you know? Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_02:

It did go by very quickly, my friend. Yeah, man. What were some of your favorite moments from 2025?

SPEAKER_03:

When they banned TikTok. When they banned TikTok, bro. That was we all got together. We are the world. We are the children. Like it was like a apocalyptic moment for the uh for the Americans. We were like, oh no, it's it's begun. They took away our TikTok.

SPEAKER_01:

And then it came back within 24 hours.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, like you're back from my space.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, no, it was a most stressful 24 hours. They missed my Chinese.

SPEAKER_01:

Baby, come back. I forgot that happened this year. So much has happened a year that you almost forget, like, all the shit that did happen. Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_02:

That really, really did happen. True, bro. What else? We lost a lot of legends this year, man. 2025 was a year of like a lot of famous people passing. Rest in peace. Yeah, homeboy. Remember, uh, just recently got his uh who was him and his wife. Dang it. It was killed by his son. Can't think of it. Famous actors.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, uh, Rob Reiner.

SPEAKER_02:

There you go.

SPEAKER_03:

And God rest his soul, yeah. Yeah, him and his uh bring peace to the family. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

But I mean, a lot of a lot of other legends, a lot of other legends. Ozzie Osborne died this year, man. Oh, yeah, it was this year. Yeah, Ozzie died this year, bro.

SPEAKER_03:

Come in, oh God rest his peace.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, so it was uh, like I said, a lot of a lot of great passings that uh happened this year. Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, man. This is the Oscar moment when we uh honor the the the passing.

SPEAKER_02:

I know Australia or some shit. I don't know, bro. I don't know where she's from, but she just recently got banned from somewhere from trying to fucking do sex. I'm like, come on, bro, let it go work.

SPEAKER_01:

You know, let her go to work.

SPEAKER_02:

No, bro.

SPEAKER_01:

Let her go to work. Oh, China ban OnlyFans. China banned OnlyFans. Yeah, China ban OnlyFans. They said that what OnlyFans is was killing Western culture or Western civilization.

SPEAKER_02:

I did see that they were gonna like redo like some of the qualifications for I don't know what what country it was, but they're gonna like you gotta have a degree basically to talk on any of the topics that you're gonna speak on. So if we're talking about finance, have a degree in finance, and not just be some random ass dude who's like, but it gets a good idea.

SPEAKER_01:

I mean, not everybody needs to have a podcast, right?

SPEAKER_02:

Don't do it. Oh, never mind. And then this is why. But uh, but yeah, no.

SPEAKER_01:

We got it. The cue was perfect, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

Not everyone needs a podcast.

SPEAKER_01:

Am I right? Anyway, there was like one thing in our comments that were like, who gave these guys a microphone? Facts. Hey man, didn't they like Best Buy, asshole? Three guys decided to start a podcast. Yes, yes, we did. You've ever been to Guitar Center? Supposedly, supposedly, I heard that this podcast is gonna come back stronger next year. I don't know. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03:

Rumors out, rumors has it.

SPEAKER_01:

I don't know.

SPEAKER_03:

For the most part, man, we've just been preoccupied trying to qualify for Dallas for the next uh next world, bro. For the next world, bro, for League of Legends, you know. We're trying to get coaching to bakery. No, man, if you don't know what Legal Agents is, it's like we're gonna explain it again. Have we broken this already? Yeah, we've couple times.

SPEAKER_01:

No, but no, explain again, please.

SPEAKER_03:

But since you know what it is now, bro, it's just pretty much that. No, explain what legal it's just like a live action chess game, you know?

SPEAKER_01:

A live action chess game. You know what's interesting about Legal Legends? Because it is technically 3D chess. But the thing, it almost engages your brain even more than 3D chess because it's a multiplayer. So the fact that you are making chess moves, but then you don't know what the rest of the team, what kind of moves they're gonna make. Ideally, they follow your moves with a complimentary move, but if they don't, how could you not read my mind?

SPEAKER_02:

Okay, yes, relatable. We've had those moments where I'm like, I'm not a mind reader. He's like, Why the fuck not? Why aren't you locked in with me, bro? If I go left, why wouldn't you go left? You know, that's very, very true.

SPEAKER_01:

Why did you take the long way? Oh, yeah, that's true. Why would you go around and cut him up? Bro, he's right. He's right here, bro.

SPEAKER_03:

He hasn't moved. That makes it more difficult that you have to synchronize with strangers every other game. That you're that you don't you don't you just know there's a human being at the other end, but you and but you don't even talk to them sometimes. It's just like based on your actions, you hope that he reciprocates accordingly. That's part of the game that yeah you're playing not only against opponents who are trying to defeat your character and take over your base, you have to in a certain way coordinate with strangers every game to to do the same thing with against the other the other person.

SPEAKER_02:

It's harder for people who do solo queue, yeah. People who do it on their own, single solo players who join in with a group of four other random randos, which makes it extremely difficult. You better hope that you get a good top, a good mid, a good jungle, a good ADC, and a and a support that doesn't feed. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01:

It really, really is. I was stuck in bronze forever. I made it to silver and then I'm back to see, so and and regular play for us. The trolls won't let you go.

SPEAKER_02:

On a group of five, we're there's we're the majority. We're the three right here. So if it if it if there's an L, we're like, okay, bro, it was your fault. You were the problem, versus it being the entire team, and you're like, bro, I'm doing my best. I'm doing what I can.

SPEAKER_01:

If you guys would be interested, I'd be so down to go. Well, the problem is League of Legends is addicted, okay? Yeah. And you should not play it.

SPEAKER_02:

Don't do it. Get on. No, don't listen to him because he knows what he told us not to do.

SPEAKER_01:

Go watch Arcane, you know, watch some Netflix.

SPEAKER_02:

And just enjoy that. Enjoy that version.

SPEAKER_01:

Do not download the game. Do never legends, no, go play the new TCG, Rift Bound. Do that, do that shit. We're not sponsored, by the way. Buy some cards. It's gonna become a legal legend.

SPEAKER_03:

It's gonna become an Olympic event, man. I think it's gonna become a big time Olympic event. Because if they allowed breakdancing, they're gonna eventually allow like esports is seriously getting bigger.

SPEAKER_01:

It's getting huge.

SPEAKER_03:

Faker is huge in Korea, man. He's like one of the top dogs ever, bro. Yeah. Did you guys see that? Well, he he that military exempt. He didn't have to do the military service. That's how like because he was so country. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

I heard I heard there was a TikToker, an influencer, that was talking about League of Legends and how come Koreans play better. It said that one way of thinking that they do is that if they know they're gonna lose the game, they give up. They like surrender right away. And the Western culture, like no surrender. Okay. We're all we're all stuck in this together. Wow, for real? Yeah, so they don't they don't waste any time on losses. And they just move on to the games, you know, they they spend their teams in the games and we're gonna win. But we're like late game comeback! Yeah, never give up minutes into that, bitch. Only to steal is still as we're like, fuck, but we're so close.

SPEAKER_03:

Or sometimes just fold because we get so cocky.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, you know, all right. You can tell obviously those those yeah, those hurt. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

No, it's a great, it's like a great uh I think it's a great team building game as well because you at the end of the day is that it's cooperation.

SPEAKER_01:

Like the dopamine hit you did from a dub. Nah, nah, nah, nah. It destroys teams, is what it does. Yeah, the toxicity breaks friendships.

SPEAKER_02:

But it's addicting. Yeah, it's addicting. You want to know why? Because but look, but I feel like guys are okay with that. Well, I'm like, you fucking suck. You were dog shit tonight. You know that, right? Santa tomorrow, I'll see you tomorrow. Yeah, and that's it. And you're like, okay, I gotta get better. I gotta get better because I don't want to get punked or shit talked like that again in the game next time, which makes you want to do better. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, and the people that play League around the world is crazy because like they have such huge servers, like Latin America server, Brazil has its own server, Korea has a lot of server. Indonesia, Area has its own server, because oh, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand, I believe they have their own big old server for them. And then if Europe and Russia have their own server.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so many servers around the world.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, man. No, I think that's cool. Well, yeah, it's like you you but I think it's like right now we're stuck, we're we're gay catch with North America, but in theory, like I remember playing in Latin America, and I'll be playing against people from Ecuador, playing against people from Colombia at the same time. And again, it's like you're synchronizing with human beings from like the other side of the world, you know, hopefully and like with no communication with silence, just like the movement of like your chess character. That's what I love about the game. How strategic it is, you know, it makes you think, it makes you analyze. It makes you think like if you if you do take action to take your opponent on, it's because you did it boldly, because you're across your teeth and die your eyes, and you're confident enough of what you're doing to take it as then you can put that in real life, you know. You start taking action on you start making bolder moves because like you did your research, you practice, you know. Yeah, if that makes sense.

SPEAKER_02:

On top of that, it reminds it makes me think of Smash Bros. as well, because there's so much going on. There's 10 different characters on the screen sometimes, and you lose your character, so you have to keep track of what's going on with your character the whole time and haste times, cooldown times, abilities, passives. I mean, so many things that matter in this game that you learn the more you play whenever it comes down to it.

SPEAKER_03:

But uh I think it hits the part of the brain where like you can't you handle so many complex things like how to build your character while you're engaged in a middle fight, you know, the pressures behind you, uh the the your what do you call it? That you're you're you're back against the wall, you're losing, yeah, but you're trying to like motivate your team, like, no, don't give up, don't press the surrender button, we can win this.

SPEAKER_02:

Even though you should. Yeah, you should have surrendered 20 minutes ago. So you can play another game. Yes. Yeah. But never surrender. Yeah, bro. That's it.

SPEAKER_03:

I guess that's the American mentality. I can see the Americans doing that. Yeah, in their everyday life, like, I'm not gonna give up. I'm gonna push forward.

SPEAKER_02:

No sacrifice, no victory. They win Wikimoto. And then bankruptcy.

unknown:

Late game combat.

SPEAKER_03:

It's always the way you never know, you know, the other team can't finish.

SPEAKER_02:

And then they destroy the Allspark. That's what you're hoping. Yeah. Destroy the Allspark, great cut. Yeah. Um, I was gonna say uh damn it. What did you just say?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, uh they probably the other team can't finish.

SPEAKER_02:

That's what we hope. That's what we hope. And sometimes that's us when we start great and we're like, but uh play League of Legends.

SPEAKER_01:

Uh oh yeah, that's the whole reason we got into this. You end up wasting a lot of time in it and it takes you away from everything else you love.

SPEAKER_02:

That's exactly what happened for us.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so instead of us being more active, it's a dark, dark hole. It's a dark pit that just spans.

SPEAKER_03:

I love the thing is we play amateur man. There's people who are so good, they spend like their entire like 12 hours a day being like diamond level.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh, there are other ones who spend 12 hours a day to stay in bronze. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, true, true. The guy won right here in 2024. That's a dark year, I tell you what. 2025, thank God I slowed out.

SPEAKER_02:

But it does make me laugh though that Xver was the original one who put us onto it. Because remember, Arcane was what got us onto it. Arcane, yeah. And he was like, Oh, that's crazy, bro. It's based off of a game. And we're like, what do you mean it's based off of a game? And that was it. That's all it took, bro. And the rest is history. He's like, Don't do it. Don't do it. We're like, nah, it can't be that bad. Fucking five years later.

SPEAKER_01:

We love it. Hey, we have been playing League for five years. Five years, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

We can't say we're just new at it anymore.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, bro. Yeah. Two million mastery pullings in one tramp. Kaisa, Kaisa till I die.

SPEAKER_02:

Best Kaiser in North America.

SPEAKER_01:

Best Kaisa and A.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh, you know what? For our fans, for anybody who wants to know, you've been riding with us for this long. I got one more semester left and I graduate with my bachelor's. Then I get that in. So for anybody who wants to do this. I say, man, you're once done. Yeah, bro. And we move on up. Moving on up. Anyway. But yeah, man, so I'm excited for that. What else, man? Stranger Things, season five. Just recently dropped as well.

SPEAKER_01:

I haven't, I watched the I watched, okay, obviously the first three that dropped Thanksgiving. Yeah. And I watched two more episodes for the ones that dropped Christmas. Yeah. And again, I'm underwhelmed. You know, to me, it's kind of like, you know. How about how about you? I don't I don't hate it as hard as some of the people on social media. Like a lot of people are saying the kids don't know how to act anymore. And Millie Bobby Brown's lip pillows look bad, bro. Yes and no. Yes and no. To me, the kids are acting just as as well as they were acting as kids, you know? It's just they might not always have been the best actors, you know.

SPEAKER_03:

I haven't watched it to be honest. But uh I'll be honest. I haven't watched it because I just watched the first episode, so I'm trying to watch it. But low-key, to me, it ended when Vecna died. This whole season is like irrelevant to me since the beginning. I thought it was over for me, but whatever.

SPEAKER_01:

It feels like the pulling Game of Thrones, and I feel like yeah, it could have been.

SPEAKER_03:

I feel like just Netflix trying to milk it.

SPEAKER_01:

It could have ended, it could have ended a while back, and now they're trying to connect it all. And now there's a wormhole. I mean, if there's a wormhole, space-time continuum, so probably gonna end in some kind of time travel thing.

SPEAKER_03:

They probably do like Netflix, the the what we call it, uh Stranger Things Nazis or some shit, you know.

SPEAKER_01:

Um I can see some kind of sequel series. Yeah. The way they're setting it up, it's like they're they're setting up more questions than answers. And isn't it the final? Like, it's supposed to be the final, final, final. I'm like, why do we have more questions than answers? Very true.

SPEAKER_03:

They want to milk it, bro. That's what it is. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01:

So I'm sure maybe there's gonna be a sequel series. There's that other spin-off that's supposed to be a Broadway show. Yeah, Broadway show. There is a Broadway show. It's called Stranger Things First Shadow. It's about Henry, and it gives you the backstory about that memory that's Max E's.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, and then there's people that are hardcore fans, like Harry Potter fans.

SPEAKER_02:

Do you know the lore about that? Not all of it, but I know that basically he gets he is the original, he's patient zero. And it was patient zero. There's something that you end up seeing later on in the episode that actually plugs in exactly to that into the uh to the high school memory? No, to the to the actual play.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, to the first shadow.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, to the first shadow one. Um and then I'm sure they're gonna put the first shadow on Netflix eventually. That would be really cool. Uh just to be able to get it. But the Dofer brothers say apparently it's non-canon.

SPEAKER_01:

It's not canon? Yeah, no. Well, the high school memory is there.

SPEAKER_02:

You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01:

Again, if if first shadow is not canon, we got so many questions about what happened when Henry was in high school, then.

SPEAKER_02:

If I'm wrong, at me in the comments. Add me in the comments. But what was the other thing I was gonna say is uh I think everybody's gonna die and they're gonna do a soft reset.

SPEAKER_01:

You're Infinity War?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, basically. But in doing so, b if they stop Henry's whole shit from happening Wait, I haven't finished all no spoilers. No spoilers. If they but if they prevent Henry from being Henry right from the very beginning, then everybody lives. If there's no Henry, then nobody else happens. None of the other things happen.

SPEAKER_01:

Do you kill baby Hitler? Basically.

SPEAKER_02:

That's what it sounds like. Yeah, yeah. But you don't kill him, you just prevent him from being bad.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, you don't kill it.

SPEAKER_03:

You know, you do the the you do the Deadpool thing where like you try to raise him good.

SPEAKER_02:

Well, yeah, it's uh ghostwriter. Or not ghostwriter, it's uh Punisher. Punisher, yeah. Punisher tries to raise him, yeah, yeah. But yeah, you try to raise him good. So basically that happens, and then Eddie's alive. Bob's alive. Bringing back all the characters, Billy's alive, you know.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, apparently the whole internet is mad because the Duffer brothers were like teasing that people were gonna die and this and that. Yeah, and so far nobody has died. Like they're pulling a one piece in this bit.

SPEAKER_03:

Where are you at right now, Alabasta?

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, that's right. He has started out. Finally out. She guys know if you've been following for the past five years. That's right.

SPEAKER_03:

If you've been following the news, if you've been following the news, you can see the Jolly Rack, the Jolly flag. Jolly Roger, the Jolly Roger flag. Yeah, the Jolly Roger flag of the straw hats at Namakas. Yes.

SPEAKER_01:

It's everywhere.

SPEAKER_02:

It's officially goaded as the number one anime of all time. They are, I'm sorry, as much as I love Dragon Ball Z, they're not showing pictures of Dragon Ball out there. They don't have no bleach. You know what I'm saying? They don't have no Naruto headbands.

SPEAKER_03:

You might get indicted if you wear a straw hat.

SPEAKER_02:

You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_03:

Sorry, everyone's drums of liberation. No, it's like that. It's like that nowadays. It's like that, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

No, but it'll have to be mentioned mentioned in the history books. And because of that, come on. It's the greatest.

SPEAKER_03:

They say that Oda does have like a picture of like Che Guevara and stuff in his office. That's where he drives like all those themes and topics of Alabasta, water, because water was a big theme in Alabasta. Water was a big theme in water was now. Water's a big thing now.

SPEAKER_01:

What is a big theme in Alabasta? Uh I still don't know if I wouldn't say it's peak so far. But apparently, if I keep watching, I'll eventually get to the peak now. To me, right now, it's good because it's over a hundred episodes in. So I am invested in the characters because of how much time I put in so far. So it's not it's good writing. It's absolutely good writing, and it's a good story, and but it's because I'm a hundred episodes in, you know? But there's animals out there that make me invested in characters in 12 episodes, you know. But uh like the more you watch, the more the story goes on. I'm sure the story takes a life of its own, and then it keeps self-referencing, and then the world actually becomes alive. And I could see that I could see that with the with the world building. So that's my take. No, bro, not wrong.

SPEAKER_02:

And it's it's a pretty good It's a solid take, yeah. Yeah, it's a solid take on it. You know what I'm saying? Without without even without only being with only being 100 episodes in, damn, that's a really good guess. Yeah, 130, 130 something.

SPEAKER_03:

And I think that's the beauty of it, because I think Oda recognizes as like there's commitment to my character. So like the roast is slow because I neither I did I didn't I don't appreciate Luffy until much later. Yeah. Like I didn't cry when the whole ace thing happened. It was much later, like post that I was like, wow, Luffy's such a great written character. It was actually post-Dress Rosa when how one character described Luffy that's like a finally filter the character after so many sagas, so many slow like adventures, so many like dumb moments, so many like why is this necessary? Could have been like it could have been rushed. Like in retrospect, it's like it makes it sweet that hey, you've been on this journey with my character, you know, and then it's painted beautiful. Like to me, Oda paints that hey, he recognizes that like that voice you said, right? And the world does take a world of its own, and it opens up to the world because he's inviting you to like his like message, whatever the message is, but there's like a message that he's trying to get across overall with the one piece, you know.

SPEAKER_01:

I agree. One piece is real, then we get much higher. So higher. No, but it's good. And if anything, looking at the episode. Back then, I'm like, man, if if it would if it had been done with today's animation, I'm pretty sure some of that stuff would look really good. So it makes me excited for the remake.

SPEAKER_02:

Exactly. The One Piece, ladies and gentlemen, is getting ready to come out soon.

SPEAKER_01:

It makes me excited for the remake by Wit Studio. Really excited for the remake. It also makes me really excited for the season two of the live action.

SPEAKER_02:

Yes. Which I'm super excited for.

SPEAKER_01:

Also, I don't know how far they are going to get into a La Vasta, but they already showed they're going to do Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, Drum Island. Like, good stuff.

SPEAKER_02:

I'm excited, though. It's going to be fucked up.

SPEAKER_01:

They showed off the character designs, and I'm like, that's dope.

SPEAKER_02:

Jeff's Keys, bro.

SPEAKER_01:

Oda. You know? Go to Oda approved. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Go to approved.

SPEAKER_01:

Live action BB looks good. Yeah. I think it does justice to her character, even though, you know, obviously she doesn't look like the cartoon.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm going to use everything he just said just like a few minutes ago. Okay. DJ Tico. We're going to reference this. When he passes up Whole Cake Island. Trust, trust. I'm going to use this episode as a reference. As a reference here. And then if you get to Whole Cake Island, you're going to see like, whoa, I'm a because I'm going to play a point in that future episode when we are there. And I'm just using this as a reference.

SPEAKER_01:

I mean, I'm still I'm still a Kendrick level hater, though. Like, I'm watching a thousand episodes just to hate him and better.

SPEAKER_02:

Good. Good, good. I would rather you do it. Yeah. I would rather you do it. I think you wanna know why, because I feel like there are a lot of people who also started on that journey as well.

SPEAKER_01:

I don't think so.

SPEAKER_03:

I did.

SPEAKER_01:

You started as a hater?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, I hated it. I hated because I hated Alabasta because I was like, I'm so glad I'm over Alabasta. I hated Alabasta. No, not until I got to Water Seven, I was like, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

It's the greatest anime of all time. Yeah, we're gonna be able to do that. One thing that I'm mad is like I I want to see some actual pirate, you know, pirate shit. Can can Luffy and the crew do some actual pirate shit, like naval battles and shit, like raiding another ship? And at the end of Alabasta, they do have to fight the marine ships to get out, but it they they you know they they beat him like that and we're done. But apparently there's some naval battles later on that are peak.

SPEAKER_02:

So Juana specifically.

SPEAKER_01:

Waiting for waiting for some pirates.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Marine Ford, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

So waiting for some actual battles.

SPEAKER_03:

I feel like he's halfway now. He just got to the half of the first the first to me it's divided in three sections. Yeah. The third one is Wano, the first is Marine Ford, and in between that is number two. I think it's like the training and all that stuff. Before they get to oh yeah, it's like all up to Dress Rosa.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, when does the time skip have, man? Sabayote.

SPEAKER_03:

In between one and two.

SPEAKER_01:

In between what islands? Sabayote and Fishman. Yeah. So after Dress Rosa?

SPEAKER_02:

No, before Dr. Before Dress Rosa.

SPEAKER_03:

This is like Dr. Rosa is like the second bigger one. I don't know the big saga.

SPEAKER_01:

There's three big sagas.

SPEAKER_03:

The Marines.

SPEAKER_01:

Give me an island, I would know. It happens after Water Seven? Yes. Yes.

SPEAKER_03:

Yes.

SPEAKER_02:

Much later.

SPEAKER_01:

Much later? After the Halloween thing?

SPEAKER_02:

Yes.

SPEAKER_01:

Thriller Bark is before Water Seven. Correct. That sets it up.

SPEAKER_02:

No, Thriller Bark is after Water Seven.

SPEAKER_01:

I guess I just gotta keep watching.

SPEAKER_02:

Keep watching, bro. Yeah, watch for hate. And again.

SPEAKER_01:

Watch for the hate.

SPEAKER_02:

But the One Piece is real. It's been a really that ASCII has got a turn stop.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm still really excited for the live action. They uh they casted Cholo, my man Cholo as uh fucking ace.

SPEAKER_02:

Hilarious moment.

SPEAKER_01:

They casted the blue beetle as ace.

SPEAKER_02:

I can't believe they actually did it. And he, I mean, I think it's gonna be great.

SPEAKER_01:

It was a fan casting for the longest.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. And the fact that he finally committed to it, it's official now. I'm I'm excited for season three to see that. It's gonna be full-blown out.

SPEAKER_01:

And like I said, the BV, BB casting looks great. Oh, yeah. Some of the villain castings look great. They have number one. Looks like it looks good. That probably's gonna be a good fight in live action.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Oh, I wasn't gonna talk about the the One Piece remake by Whit Studio. The One Piece remake. By uh by Witch Studio. Apparently it's gonna be more.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm I'll give it just for the fuck of it. I'm gonna name my kid, I'm gonna give him the middle name D, just a letter. Do it. Just for the fuck of it. I would. Just to fuck with people. If I was a One Piece fan back then, I would have done it, bro. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not a fan, but I'm just gonna do it to fuck with people.

SPEAKER_03:

Or the Will of D, whatever it means.

SPEAKER_01:

And I'm never gonna tell my kid like where they came from.

SPEAKER_02:

It's from your great-great-great uncle. Distress.

SPEAKER_01:

That's more worldwide. Oh, you really? You need the X? Of course. I'll get anything tattooed on my body, bro. You know.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh yeah, wait till you yeah, wait, wait till water seven.

SPEAKER_01:

I want to get uh a Black Bulls logo. I've been wanting that for a while. Maybe some A stuff, why not? Maybe some law finger tattoos. Fuck it. I'll go full pirate.

SPEAKER_02:

I like it. I wasn't apparently supposed to be more graphic because they don't have to worry about toe animation or whatever.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, I was actually we talked about all the how Oda doesn't kill characters. It's not that Oda doesn't kill characters, the anime doesn't kill characters. But in the manga, some of those characters do die.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, it's official that they do die. Not all of them. Not all of them, but there are some characters who uh do die, yes.

SPEAKER_01:

That the anime, you know, in the anime they get they get up and walk it off. And you never see them again, but in the manga, you never see them again because they did die.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. There's a lot of things actually told in cover stories in the manga too. Have you seen those?

SPEAKER_01:

The cover stories, yeah. The cover stories still happen. I'm supposed to watch some of those cover stories in some of those episodes.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. They give you good context as far as like what's going on in the back behind the scenes.

SPEAKER_01:

One thing that I I am kind of criticizing right now, and I know eventually is gonna matter because eventually is a big plot point of the story, but I just don't understand why they couldn't BB couldn't associate with the straw hats. It just doesn't make any sense. Not right now, not from what I've seen so far. You know? Like of course the world, there's a world government, there's the Marines, and they have a bounty on their head, and they're pirates, but it just doesn't make sense for BB not to be associated with them. Like, why is it so important? That she is or is not? That she's not, yeah. That they go through such lengths to not be associated with pirates.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, that's later on.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. In my mind, it's because they they don't want to be seen like they are like a pirate country or whatever, right?

SPEAKER_01:

Because her dad's Yeah, but right now I'm just like they saved the country.

SPEAKER_03:

Because her dad, her dad's in the situation with that.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh, wait, did you see that moment where Zoro got lost? Yeah. And the Marines are like, You ended up outside the city. They're like, that shit was hilarious. But I saw that real recently, they're like, Zoro, there's no way you're this stupid, bro. Like, come on, you know it's that way. Just go that way.

SPEAKER_01:

Anyway, I know that down the road it's gonna matter, and the world government's gonna have you know more context, and the Marines are gonna have more context.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, man. That's something that one piece is something that I would definitely buy the whole collection if I had the chance.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_01:

Buy it, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

It's out there.

SPEAKER_01:

You can read the monkey, pull the trigger, bro. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

If you have a country roast description, you can actually get it.

SPEAKER_01:

I know places where you can get it right now.

SPEAKER_02:

Damn.

SPEAKER_01:

Don't bluff, bro. Be about it. A lot of great animes. I got it.

SPEAKER_02:

A lot of great animes are coming out 2026. Black Clover season two.

SPEAKER_01:

Black Clover Season 2, Freerin is coming back, Reese is coming back. Something Isikai, something Isika. Like season two.

SPEAKER_02:

A one piece is gonna happen.

SPEAKER_01:

Slime. Slime is coming back. Ah, yeah, slime is coming back. Uh so good stuff coming back next year. Yeah. Wistoria One and Sword is coming back, second season. Little hidden gem. Wistoria one and sword. The Black Clover knockoff. Well, it's not a knockoff. I think this thing is written by the same octopus Mangaka. But it's a lot better. It's what I thought Mashill was gonna be. Mashill ended up being something else. But Wistoria One and Sword is a little bit like One Punch meets Black Clover.

SPEAKER_03:

Okay. I still want to see Shangri Law.

SPEAKER_01:

Shangri La Frontier.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

I think that's also coming back. Oh, yeah. That's a really good one. Yeah, I want to see that one. Yeah, they really break that like media games. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

We got the best on that one. Anyway. But yeah, man. What was your second favorite one?

SPEAKER_01:

We're gonna go watch Avatar. Oh, I said I'm gonna show you how to do that. Yeah, we gotta watch it.

SPEAKER_03:

Finish up Stranger Things. Finish up a Fallout.

SPEAKER_01:

Fallout. I gotta finish Fallout. It's supposed to be really good.

SPEAKER_02:

Fallout's good, man. If you're not watching that one. Oh, Gen V, if you guys aren't. Oh, wait a minute we were talking about that.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, like the final season of the boys is coming out next year. Final season. I'm excited for that one, bro. I'm excited for that.

SPEAKER_03:

What do we got? We got Doomsday? Doom Day? Doomsday. Is it next year? Is it next year? Doom Day? Is it next year? I'm not that excited, bro.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm not that excited either. Nobody's excited for it. Nobody's excited. Well, it was my take. I'm excited for Odyssey, Loki. God, I already forgot. I had a whole take about Doomsday, but I was drunk.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm just ready for the next Batman movie, bro.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm ready for the next Supergirl movie.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. December 18th, 2026. Doom Day, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Okay. Well, Supergirl, Supergirl. I'm more excited for Supergirl than Supergirl, oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

That's right. That is also coming out.

SPEAKER_01:

It looks a lot better. Comic book lore accurate.

SPEAKER_02:

What else we got coming out, man? More stuff, dog. I'm excited for it, to be honest. The anime's gonna be peak. I'm looking forward to that shit more than anything. I think solo leveling is also coming back. Solo leveling, oh I know. I heard that was a delay on it. Is Blue Lock coming back? I hope so. Man, I really hope so. Because the World Cup, baby, next year. World Cup next year. World Cup is coming to Houston, ladies and gentlemen.
