SPEAKER_02:

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you so much for tuning in to the WBM podcast. This is one of your hosts, it's your boy Merc. Yo, welcome back, everybody. This is your boy XFAM.

SPEAKER_03:

And this is your boy Oski in the middle. We got a fun episode for you today.

SPEAKER_01:

That's right. Are we talking some DCU? That's right, some James Gunn.

SPEAKER_03:

DCU, that's right. The new universe. That's right.

SPEAKER_01:

That's not like university school. DCU, go get him.

SPEAKER_02:

DCU. What would be their mascot?

SPEAKER_01:

A bat. You know, you know it. What else we got, boys? Uh yeah, we have some more stuff lined up.

SPEAKER_02:

We do. Before anybody else asks, we're going to talk about.

SPEAKER_03:

We're going to just talk about James Gunn's series.

SPEAKER_02:

James Gunn, the DCU, some, you know, some anime stuff, the things that we always do. That's right, y'all. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

You can bring in some anime stuff.

SPEAKER_02:

Always going to bring up some anime stuff. And you want to talk about One Piece, right? I do. And I also want to talk about you in your 20s versus in your 30s. No. Oh, everything hurts. We'll find out on this one. I love how we didn't have anything to say, and then we ran into like time. Well, because we had our topic. What was your topic, sir? Oh, you guys are on for a fun one then on this one, boys. All right. What do you want to start with? Let's start up with the DCU. James Gunn, peace make it a bit more.

SPEAKER_03:

Let's start with the DCU, the DC Universe, which is the new universe that James Conn is trying to set up. Yeah. He's trying to make a fresh start. But it's funny because it's not a fresh start. It's more like a soft reboot. Yes. I don't know why I said it like that. But yeah, it's a soft reboot. What do you call it a soft reboot? Uh XFR.

SPEAKER_01:

I called it like just roll with the reboot. I would say it's a retcon. He's doing roll with it. Roll with the. You know, because honestly, bro, it's like you know who the who you know who we are. The bat, the S, the D, the Y, the D. The D. The WW, the W W, the W.

SPEAKER_03:

The B, the S, the B dubs. The Holy Trinity. Yeah. I mean, that's it. But they have the man, Wonder Woman. They haven't appeared yet. But yeah, it's funny because James Scum has been working within DC. So I would think like these D projects are part of the new universe that he started to set up. That's right. So the Suicide Squad movie, not the original Suicide Squad, but the Suicide Squad movies. That was also a soft reboot in and of itself.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, it really was. I think he already had a vision. I think he may have given a pitch for a whole universe during that one movie.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah. And he was like, hey, this is what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to make some changes. And then it went up for sale. And he's like, oh shit. Yeah. So did Suicide Squad uh would you would say is uh semi-canon?

SPEAKER_01:

I would say it's like a semi-canon and I'm pretty sure Theo like kind of like put a mix together. I feel like part of his genius with James Gunn is the interaction where it's like you participate based on Easter eggs of where to what they belong. For example, when I'm watching Creature Commandos, a villain, Dr. Phosphorus, you see his upbringing, you know, and it's really cool. Like a like a musical, you know, they're dancing, and it looks joyful, but it's a sad ass fucking backstory of the villain, like a villain, right? And then like any cartoon or comic is not a spoiler, but you see it everywhere where the uh he's a victim, a villain, the rise to power overtakes the criminal organization where he's so powerful, like the police cannot get involved, the tanks they can't get involved, he's a super villain apparently. But the silhouette of Batman shows up and cuts everything. Like you see how his downfall was in exactly one frame shot, which is Batman. So after you see this awesome climatic rise to power, you you as the viewer could guess off screen Batman came in, shut the lights down, and that's all it took.

SPEAKER_03:

He locked him up in Belarus.

SPEAKER_01:

And that and that's the thing.

SPEAKER_03:

And then he joined Task Force, or not Task Force, Security Commander.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes, and and in that process, I I feel like James Gunn does this with all of with with a lot of his content, which is you and Iraq, you put the pieces together. Like you can assume that this villain did chaotic thing, because then the silhouette of Superman shows up. You can assume yourself that Okay, if he ends up in prison, yeah. Yeah, Superman was the one who shut him down.

SPEAKER_03:

Right. So the Suicide Squad, I mean a lot of those characters I think he's gonna bring back.

SPEAKER_01:

And I think that's the base, like that's the like the basis, right? Like the pillars, which are the three pillars, like you said, that the holy trinity Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, always, always. So I mean, get ready to put out Superman, of course.

SPEAKER_01:

The first pillar, yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

So and I mean eventually we're gonna get to meet Batman and Wonder Woman. His version of it.

SPEAKER_02:

Well, we know the well everything is gonna be separate, right? He did say that. He's like, the Superman, uh, the Batman is gonna be separate from like the main DC EU, right?

SPEAKER_03:

You know, it's crazy because I heard rumors that he's gonna try to bring it together. I like his argument.

SPEAKER_01:

And his whole argument was like when you go to a comic book shop and you guys go to comic book shops, you guys you can attest to this. He said that every cover is different. Like, pick it up. You know, Batman's cover is way different than a Superman cover. A Superman cover can be like very bright, and then the Batman's cover can be very dark, and then they're put together in a single storyline.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

So that's how he that's how he's pitching it, you know.

SPEAKER_03:

Which is That's a good pitch. Like also, they don't have to be connected. Like he could keep the Batman going as his own universe separate from the DCU main universe, which is something that happens during comic book runs.

SPEAKER_02:

100%.

SPEAKER_03:

Like that's you got you got the main universe Batman, but then you'll have a whole nother Batman run. Absolute Batman that's currently running. It's a whole nother universe.

SPEAKER_02:

Have you seen anything on that, Doug?

SPEAKER_03:

Absolute Batman goes hard.

SPEAKER_02:

Absolute Batman is insane. That whole design and setup is insane.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm waiting, I'm waiting to like get the collected edition.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh, yeah, bro. I'm gonna get like the first graphic novel of it. Yeah, when it's like a hardback copy. Yeah, that's it.

SPEAKER_01:

There's a trend that people have been showing online that I really never thought about a topic until I saw it, you know, in your uh what do you call it? Um social media, which is a POV horror Batman, where you are the villain.

SPEAKER_02:

I've seen that, and you're like inside the house trying to break in or the lab or whatever.

SPEAKER_01:

And then there's a six foot five fucking guy dressed like a bat just swoops out of the air and just snatches your ass out of the door.

SPEAKER_03:

I like that. I like that. You know, I like that with like that alien video game that was first person, and you were in the ship and the alien stalks you, but he's Batman.

SPEAKER_02:

Man, can you imagine that? Hell no. Hell no, I would never want that.

SPEAKER_03:

You know, you're trying to be quiet as hell because he's a ninja. He's coming out the fucking roof. You see a fucking battering flying, but like you're trying to hide.

SPEAKER_01:

And it's like a team effort where like proximity chat. Yeah, everybody can hear you, and then like that like there's seven people, and then like like you can see like seven people registered in the building, and then one bleep just goes away. And that's like shows you like that. You know, I haven't seen that. Yeah, I'm just no, I'm just imagining. He's pitching that part.

SPEAKER_02:

He's pitching that part, he's pitching that part. The actual game, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Fucking yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Well, really, you know what? That makes you think that makes me think of that one video game that's like uh when you play the monster.

SPEAKER_01:

Discover it!

SPEAKER_02:

Have you guys seen that game? Will you play it like as Jason or Freddie Cougar and you can like run through the top?

SPEAKER_01:

Yes, I play those, yeah. So now imagine that or something like that. Yeah, stay alive.

SPEAKER_02:

I think it's stay alive or some of the other ones. But that would be really cool. But that is Batman?

SPEAKER_01:

Like, that's such a cool idea.

SPEAKER_03:

Batman, like a like a horror like type game where it's Batman like stalking you.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

That'd be cool. Man, the DLC is like robbing shows up.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh, shoot things hunting you.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_02:

What if you get Red Hood? Red Hood shoots your ass.

SPEAKER_03:

You're like, oh, yeah, and some of the other vigilantes. Like, that would be cool. Nightwing is faster than Batman, but not as brutal. So you keep more speed.

SPEAKER_02:

You know what hilarious? If they got a Batman style Joker, like he was just in like Joker just fucking around just with people inside of a place?

SPEAKER_01:

But the thing, like, you know, the place will also be like creepy because as you're the bad guy, you are in like some kind of like Gotham warehouse, gotham silo, gotham X chemical lab. You just got a job.

SPEAKER_03:

You're like a low low time criminal, you just got a job trying to make some money.

SPEAKER_01:

You're pushing poison for a scarecrow.

SPEAKER_02:

You're the character that normally gets like slept by default. You know what I'm saying? You're the cube, you're you're the X button, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, you're normally that guy.

SPEAKER_03:

I really like where this is going, man.

SPEAKER_02:

I would play though.

SPEAKER_03:

WB Studios, WB Studios Get Us Up, uh Mortal Realm. Oh, Mortal Kombat style of fatalities. Like injustice type thing.

SPEAKER_01:

But a knockout, like like he like it's very painful. Like, like you see the punch to the ribs, and you see the crack, you know?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, like the x-ray Mortal Kombat. But the proximity chat, the proximity chat for being so funny, like the the game where they're climbing up the mountain.

SPEAKER_01:

Bro, even though even the mimic. Oh, shit. He's kidding them, he's getting them. You're saying that he's getting them, and you hear like in the shadows, he's kidding them. Like, is your own voice like the AI copies your voice? But is Batman fucking with you? Does it throw you off? Because he's Batman?

SPEAKER_02:

I love it. That'd be badass.

SPEAKER_01:

Like he you see him appear and then gas starts showing the way and disappears again. You know, what the fuck?

SPEAKER_03:

That's so cool, man. That'd be cool, man. And then he throws like some random lines. I guess you die. We're a scarecrow. Where is she? And then you pass out and the game ends. And he's like metaphorically, you realize you were never even the main character. Oh, that would be interesting. It'd be interesting if you were like really existential.

SPEAKER_02:

Like, oh what if you was just another henchman? What if you're just another henchman, but you're tripping on scarecrow's gas? Like scarecrow's gas? Like it like leaks somewhere in the facility, and now you're trying to stop it.

SPEAKER_03:

But it's like that's one of the hassers. That's one of the uh environment hassers. That'd be cool. Like you walk through a room, yeah, and all of a sudden your vision goes blurry. And you're like, huh?

SPEAKER_02:

And then bats start flying in and then we're like, oh, that'd be cool, bro. Sorry, that'd be dope. That'd be good.

SPEAKER_03:

We're thinking of environmental hazards too. Great game. Great game. One of the rooms has the Joker laugh gas. Oh, okay. So you start laughing for no reason.

SPEAKER_02:

And which makes people get attention to you because you can't stop laughing.

SPEAKER_03:

You start making noise. You start making noise, so Batman finds you quicker. Damn.

SPEAKER_02:

That'd be down. That'd be a cool ass game.

SPEAKER_01:

Like you get to run, then you see like a like a dark five-foot shadow chasing you, like on the roof. Like, have you seen the Snyder verse when Bathlick was upside down?

SPEAKER_02:

No, yeah. Yeah, that'd be scary as shit. Probably like six foot, not five foot. We really started pitching that game. But I can't wait till it comes out on Steam. I'm gonna download it. I'll be the first one to review that shit. Watch it.

SPEAKER_03:

Different DLCs, the different Batman hunt you. You know, it could be Batfleck. Bathlick would be brutal. He's hunting you with a sniper. What if there's a way?

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, and the Nolan one is more gadget, so you have to watch where you're walking. Because the Nolan one was more gadget-based. So like you have to like, if you're by a pillar, you gotta be careful, like a little mean explosion, and throws you off.

SPEAKER_02:

So a tactical Batman versus a brutal Batman, that would be cool as far as play styles.

SPEAKER_01:

Depending on what you get, you know.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, and then and then there's just one that's just straight stealth. Well, just goes around on the fucking roofs and just snatches people up. That'd be cool, dude.

SPEAKER_03:

Maybe like a 1969 Batman where he's just funny. Oh, that'd be hilarious.

SPEAKER_02:

Adam West? Adam West. I don't know where Shark is. Yeah, I would uh I would play the fuck out of that game, dude. That'd be awesome.

SPEAKER_03:

We're really selling this game. Yeah, we're really pitching in. Anyway, so the channel is. What are we gonna call it, bro? What are we gonna call it? One night in Gotham.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

One night in Gotham's name.

SPEAKER_01:

Henchman's night in Gotham.

SPEAKER_03:

Nine to five. Yeah, I guess Gotham Chronicles.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Ooh, Gotham Chronicles. I like that. Henchman Chronicles in Gotham. Gotham's henchman's Chronicles.

SPEAKER_03:

Because it could be different levels, too. Like one night one night you're working for Scarecrow. But you're a freelancer, so the next night you're working for Joker.

SPEAKER_01:

Like a GTA version.

SPEAKER_03:

And you are trying to make it. Because remember, we talked about it in Gotham. Like, there's no hope, but at the same time, there is. You can make it. Look at Penguin.

SPEAKER_01:

That will be badass. Like there is, like, if you mix it with the GTA, like you cycle. Yeah. Yeah. Like you do judge. And then you become your own boss and you become a villain, a respectable villain in Gotham, where like because you became a high-level villain in Gotham, Batman starts to hunt you down.

SPEAKER_03:

That would be cool as shit. Oh, yeah. Maybe in your early missions, it's not even Batman hunting you know. It's Nightwing. It's Robin. It's Robin, yeah, yeah, yeah. And those reasons is early, you could get away, but then once you get to Batman, you become a high-level, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

You can get away. Oh, your warehouse has been taken over by Batman.

SPEAKER_02:

It's even worse, though, because now you're like the kingpin, you know, like right when and we've all seen it when like the kingpin is running away and Batman's stalking their ass. He's like, you're getting away.

SPEAKER_01:

Dog, that would be cool. That would be cool.

SPEAKER_03:

And then the secret swear to me. The secret ending is like you never win.

SPEAKER_01:

You end up in Blackstone, then like you get out. Every time.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, there's no there's no escaping Batman. No matter how many tries you try to try to beat that level, you can't escape. The AI is always smarter than you.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, that would be cool. It's the one where like I don't I want there was one I heard about that Warner Brothers gate kept, which was for Shadow Mordor, where the AI would like recognize your gaming habits and come back like in a bit of strategy. Different, yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

That game was good too. It had a sequel. It was the Shadow Mordor.

SPEAKER_01:

Sometimes they'll recognize you. Damn, I thought it would be crazy.

SPEAKER_03:

It was the nemesis. The nemesis. Nemesis, yeah, that's what it was called. So like the orcs, the low-level orcs would recognize you, and throughout the game, like time would be like and those low-level orcs would become high-level orcs, and they would know you.

SPEAKER_02:

And they would have beef with you about if you did, I didn't help them. Some guys that you cut off his arm, and like in the first battle, is now a general, and he's like, You son of a bitch, I'm gonna come and get you. Yeah, like it's cool.

SPEAKER_01:

I think that would have been locked it up. On the this Batman GTA POV horror, yeah, um, which would be that. In a perfect world where like the food starts, like, oh shit, you're you're your own crew, you're the XYZ crew now, you know? You fucking did this to me. We used to work a job together against Batman.

SPEAKER_02:

You get people betraying you in the game because it's Gotham. Yeah, that would be cool.

SPEAKER_03:

He gets Scarecrow in like one scene, you know, and he's like Batman is he's questioning Scarecrow and you or something. And the Scarecrow is like, he used to run errands for me. Damn.

SPEAKER_02:

So we got blown away on that one. We're like, the dishes on us this motherfucker. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

Because he has that beef and he's thinking over your business.

SPEAKER_02:

That would be interesting, dog. I would watch that.

SPEAKER_01:

James Gunn, if you're hearing this, yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

We kept going with that pitch. That bitch didn't stop. No, there's a whole universe. There's there's three games in that.

SPEAKER_03:

I like how we went from like one night experience to a full RPG. With smart AI that recognizes you and shit.

SPEAKER_00:

You know? Absolutely.

SPEAKER_03:

It wasn't one night, you're trapped in a mansion, Batman catches you to like you make your way out there.

SPEAKER_01:

Tell me you wouldn't play that, bro. I would.

SPEAKER_02:

I would play shit immediately, though.

SPEAKER_01:

You push all kinds of spice although we fucking got them, you know? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

You know what? It's kind of like the mafia games. You know what I'm saying? Like the all the-there's a new one that just came out, Mafia the Old Country or whatever, that just dropped. So it's like you're doing shit like that.

SPEAKER_03:

I've put in Gotham a bunch of games.

SPEAKER_02:

They do. Uh they just dropped the recent one, apparently. I didn't even know they were still making games.

SPEAKER_03:

Dude, they're like on their sixth or seven ones. Main line, main storyline, because they had a bunch of spin-ups. They did. I know because Amazon Prime was just giving out Mafia 2 and 3 and 4. They were just giving them out. I got them saved on my laptop. That's hilarious, bro.

SPEAKER_01:

The badass part is like the AI game will recognize when you're in like in the battle against another gang, like it gets too crazy, and then suddenly AI summons Batman to stop it. So now it's Batman.

SPEAKER_03:

And you're trying to get away?

SPEAKER_01:

And then Batman tries to look for you.

SPEAKER_03:

You're trying to do a gang war, but you gotta keep the gang war like below the cops rater, because if the cops find out, then the night light goes up. And when that you're there, he goes, that's your that's that's that's mean you're like in UTA, you're like the stars, the wanted stars. It's a night light, cheese nightlights, three night lights.

SPEAKER_02:

The first night is Robin. The second one is like, I don't know, Nightwing. And the next one is like, oh shit, you fucked up. It's Batman, bro.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh shit. And they even put the duh, duh, duh.

SPEAKER_03:

Nah, yeah, that would be like this game is getting. I want to play this fucking game, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

I think it'd be cool because like it'd be like, you know, like be like true uh true mobster mentality, it'd be like, I could fight him, right? You can stay to leave, like choose to leave or choose to stay. But even if you stay, you always lose because it's Batman. Yeah, that's it.

SPEAKER_01:

It's like 10 cards, right? And all they just pulled out their eight case, right? Yeah. It's not I'm not talking about Batman flies in like Spider-Man. He comes in with his fucking. Oh shit. Oh, he flies in with the bad plane. Start shutting everything down, dude, doo doo. That would be wild.

SPEAKER_03:

And then and then those decisions you make affect it. Because if you left, you made it. But the henchmen that stayed, some of them remember that you left them behind. Oh. And if you stay, if you stay, you gain some of the respect, but then you gotta go to Bell Reeve and start over with lower resources. Right, you gotta put time in.

SPEAKER_02:

You know what I'm saying? You know, you gotta make moves beside the pin. That would be, dude. I think it'd be cool. Like, even the game could give you the false hope, like, you're gonna win, even if you're about to pin him in. That's when he like, he's like, oh, so close, boys. And then all of his droids and shit come in, and you're like, fuck, we almost had him.

SPEAKER_03:

And then that's when you have to go to Arkham. Let's not forget about the DLC, the Arkham Asylum level, bro. There's a riot in Arkham Asylum, and you think you could get out, but bum!

SPEAKER_01:

That'd be crazy, bro. Like you grow, you develop a crew in Arkham Asylum trying to escape, and you find the cry to exit. This is a sequel here. The Joker's crew, bro. And at the very end, like you finally got to the exit of the island of Arkham Asylum, and it's either jump or Batman chases you, bro. So it's like a decision to do, you know. I'm saying for the third game, so you don't know what the hell is that.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm about to say, look, the first game in that second game, though. In that second game where you're stuck in Arkham, it's not even a Batman game. Like Batman doesn't even get promoted. We like officially say Batman's not gonna be in the game. Oh, that ending. Batman shuts you down. Let's go!

SPEAKER_02:

Bro, that'd be sick. Okay, so the first game is use bottom henchmen working your way up, right? You end like like Scarface at the top of the world, right? And then that's when you have like Batman shuts you down. Big Bass Batman shuts you down in the major fight.

SPEAKER_03:

You end up in Arkham.

SPEAKER_02:

Like I said, you almost think you're about to win. Like everything is coming out. You're like, yes, it's gonna work, it's gonna work. Ooh, so close. Batman. Game ends, right? You're in prison. Game two starts, you go through all of Arkham, right? And then Batman. No, no, no. It's just it's just grinding through prison and just doing things.

SPEAKER_01:

Develop a crew fighting, uh Makey Moose trying to maintain your crew outside whatever.

SPEAKER_02:

Working with care.

SPEAKER_03:

All of it, all of it. Kroc is in the sewers. Yeah. There's something in the sewers that you need. So you got a whole level in the sewers where you're like stealthy.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, you try to recruit either Bay or recruit either Croc to your crew? Look, look, then you can make it look now you got turf wars.

SPEAKER_02:

Look, now you got turf wars. Depending on your alliances, depends on how your turf works.

SPEAKER_03:

Because croc is the lower levels. Killer crooks got all the lower underground levels, and then I don't know, Bane's got all the other levels.

SPEAKER_02:

So in those areas, you could roam freely, and the other ones you got a stealth and shit.

SPEAKER_01:

You can only pick one, but the whole point is like you either have either one big ally, Clayface, Bane, or Croc.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh, we're gonna throw Clayface in the bank. That'd be sick as fuck.

SPEAKER_01:

Then you each have these special abilities, like Clayface can add extra 10 soldiers.

SPEAKER_03:

And is it all the same type it's all the same type of gameplay, so it's all first POB horror type stuff. Okay, so what's the third game?

SPEAKER_02:

The third game is what? So and now it's Arkham City?

SPEAKER_03:

We put a lot of creative stuff down, man. You gotta give us time. We hit a wall on that one. Like we can't, we're gonna have like two. 20 years later, we're still promoting it. The ending of the second game. Nobody nobody expected Batman to show up, but he did, you know?

SPEAKER_01:

And like your character falls off the cliff, jumpy, but you don't know what happened, you know?

SPEAKER_02:

So that's how the series ends.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, we just didn't do a party three.

SPEAKER_02:

No, look, and then you release PC versions of them. The only 12 people actually play. The remaster version of it. You know what I'm saying? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Over and over again.

SPEAKER_02:

And then if you if you do all the up, right, down, left, right, cut, everybody has theories. Get all the mystery riddles, all that shit, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01:

You can go to the cons promoted, like if we're gonna like here, we have a special announcer for the new Batman game. And then it's like, oh shit, the third part's. The remaster for Nintendo Trash!

SPEAKER_00:

Let's go!

unknown:

Fuck you!

SPEAKER_02:

Because it's so real. That is the shit that they do.

SPEAKER_03:

Tell me you want to play Batman on the Nintendo. You put Gotham Chronicles on the Switch. On the go? You could play Switch on the go with motion controls. One and two.

SPEAKER_01:

And then the year after that, we finally put all the money together. We're like, hey guys.

SPEAKER_03:

I think we can finally like finish the story.

SPEAKER_01:

And we're gonna go ahead first start with the VR rematch.

SPEAKER_03:

We're gonna reintroduce the first game of VRB. But tell me you would have played out in VR though. V R P O V Batman hunting you down. I'm sweating.

SPEAKER_02:

Look, at this point, the whole motion capture suits exist. So now you got a whole room that you can run around in. You know? You feel like you're getting taken by Batman.

SPEAKER_03:

We're gonna get jokes. We're gonna get jokes. GTA 6 came out before Gotham Chronicles 3.

SPEAKER_02:

Bro, why is it so real though? Full AI came out before GC3. They're doing it right now, bro.

unknown:

Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm gonna play this game so bad right now, bro. How do I Chat GPT 5? Make a game like this. Use the nemesis back in if you have to.

SPEAKER_02:

SPEAKER_01:

Hey, what if I upload this transcript into ChatGPT? That's what I'm saying, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

Hey, ChatGPT, take it this transcript, improve it, and make it for ChatGPT. Ask me any clarifying questions you may have.

SPEAKER_03:

That was good, man. I I couldn't even get started on that. We'll come back to you on the story for the third one. Uh a future episode. Look out for GC3 coming to Gotham City 3. Gotham Chronicles. Gotham Chronicles, sorry. Or what's that name we agree with?

SPEAKER_01:

Part three, we have to expand beyond the Gotham verse. Like we have to do some suicide shit.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh. Okay. Okay. Here we go.

SPEAKER_00:

Here we go.

SPEAKER_03:

Are we going to Metropolis boy? So you were you were trapped in our game. You jumped off. Okay. Batman is still trying to find you. Yes. But he doesn't find you. Wallace finds you. Yes, I thought the Waller finds you. The jumper comes in. You know, commandos drop off, they pick you up, and you see you fly away, and then you see a sign. They'll reave. That's where it's at.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, yes. She wants you because through game one and two, she loves the fact you can recruit people in your organization. In the first one, you did it to become a criminal. The second one you did it to escape Gotham. And so in part three, it's your job to recruit the suicide squad.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. You know what'd be cool if you had to go to different cities. You have to go to Metropolis? Yes. You gotta go to where's the flash from? Central City. Central City? And then you still gotta go back to Gotham and then one more. Amazon Amazon City or Amazonia. Yes.

SPEAKER_01:

So we have to introduce Quick Travel.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah. Man, that would be interesting. Okay, so you start in well, you start in prison again, and then you gotta recruit some of the inmates that are already in prison.

SPEAKER_01:

Which is the demo. But you're at the top of the prison now, though. No, this is the demo part. You know how in the game, like you have like a demo map?

SPEAKER_02:

Yes.

SPEAKER_01:

And so there's the prison's a demo map. So explain you like the story, yeah. How did the controls are? Yeah, asking people questions and shit like that.

SPEAKER_03:

Some of the cell, you know, because uh at night you're gonna be hunted down by uh by the by but by competition, you know you're about to get hit.

SPEAKER_02:

Right. So the boys tell you, hey, you get to make sure you get out of the cell tonight before midnight.

SPEAKER_01:

And there's no Batman in this game, alright? Because I'll tell you who's the real villain, because the whole point of the game ends up the climatic, like war style of Avengers game. It's the Court of Owls. So, like, whatever you build, you know, you're gonna be fighting the same shit versus which is the Court of Vows organization.

SPEAKER_00:

I like that.

SPEAKER_01:

So what's hunting you is the court of owls at the same time. So all this creepy shit, your your crew starts disappearing, and you know.

SPEAKER_03:

I mean, is there is there a connection? Is there a connection through Court of Vows? Like somehow you come to like you come from an old Gotham bloodline where you were like you come from a rich family, but you lost everything, and that's how you had to start as an edge man.

SPEAKER_01:

Which ties back one or why you're so good at Bro, this feels like Assassin's Creed.

SPEAKER_02:

I feel like Assassin's Creed right now. We're like, bro, we're gonna go back six generations to what he was the Don.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, you find out you find out that when Gotham was found that you had the fating fathers, you had the Wings and you have his parents, or his great-great-great. What are we gonna call him? What are we gonna call him? Is a character created. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

The audience selects games.

SPEAKER_02:

Motherfucker. Okay, I'm listening. That's fine. In 1876, it was the Wains versus the motherfuckers. Yes. I love that, bro. And look, somehow along the line, you lost your dynasty. Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, you lost it all. You had you you didn't even know you were you were from the one of the Gotham's founding families. And the Cordog was trying to hunt you down because they had their own internal struggle and they're looking for the next leader, and you are the only one with that bloodline.

SPEAKER_01:

Damn.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, that was a great politics.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes. Oh, so who's who's fighting you is the other families. So you don't take control. Because they think that what they think you're building an army to fight them, but in reality, is uh is Wallace's organization that you are handling. So in the miscommunication, but he says, fuck that. You know, oh, I guess that's part of the game. You get to decide if you want to be working for Wallace, create your own our organization.

SPEAKER_03:

Or you want to you're gonna take over Cardival. Or take that's a great fucking choice.

SPEAKER_01:

That's part of the game. That's part three.

SPEAKER_02:

Or look, the the gray route, fuck them both. You start your own shit. Damn, that'd be wild. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

That's the hidden route.

SPEAKER_02:

There you go. That's the 50-50. If you manage to get the game exactly at 50% good, 50% evil.

SPEAKER_01:

So who would you pick? Like towards the end. So what would you hit your character go lean towards you? Where does it end for you? Where does the character end?

SPEAKER_02:

Oh man. We're gonna have 97 different endings for this game, guys. So yeah, we never lose.

SPEAKER_03:

We're gonna have a lot of different endings. But if you hit all the right marks, talk to all the right people.

SPEAKER_01:

Like it like it's just like that. After three games, you get shut down again. Like, like you win, like you're in the chair, you're celebrating the big party, then the light started flicker, you know.

SPEAKER_00:

Yes, the light started flickering. It's all POV.

SPEAKER_03:

You screw with the radio, it's here.

unknown:

Damn.

SPEAKER_03:

No, no, but you get the game mechanics from the first one. So you get the radar coming up on your wrist. Oh, your henchman, you see, it's a flashback to the very first game.

SPEAKER_02:

Damn. The game cuts to the original fucking you're trying to run through the house or some shit like that.

SPEAKER_03:

It's a flashback of you trying to run through the house.

SPEAKER_02:

No, that'd be insane. And then it cuts back.

SPEAKER_01:

All over again.

SPEAKER_03:

If you haven't played game one yet, okay, how about this? During the dialogue, the final scene dialogue, one of the guys goes like, wait, I know this mansion. And it's the mansion that you first try to steal out of in the game.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh shit. So that was really cool. I got excited on that one dog. That was a realization. I was like, it's the first one.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, well, you started as a petty criminal, right? Yeah, you didn't even realize, yeah. It was like a Wayne Institution Museum. Yeah, something like that.

SPEAKER_03:

So the cord of house took it over somehow, but then all of a sudden you realize because you look at the map and it was like, it's the same map. That's gangster. Damn. I played that.

SPEAKER_02:

Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. Bro, were we supposed to talk about something else this episode?

SPEAKER_01:

Damn, man.

SPEAKER_02:

We just pitched the craziest best Bad Bang game.

SPEAKER_01:

I can't wait to put this in the chat GPT and see what it gives, man. Never made.

SPEAKER_03:

Jesus. Is it three parts? It's bro, it's a whole three games. We just did 20 decades of games. Multiple remasters. A VR version! A Nintendo Switch version. Eight years of teasing part three. Well, they came out with a TCG for it.

SPEAKER_02:

I love it, man. I love it. But yeah, no, I don't I don't think we have time for anything else on this one, guys.

SPEAKER_03:

This is a great mastery of We were talking about Peacemaker, and the one thing I gotta talk about Peacemaker, what real quick, real quick. Okay, what the fuck was up with that? What the fuck was up with that orgy?

SPEAKER_01:

Best orgy scene ever. Came out of fucking nowhere.

SPEAKER_03:

That's why y'all. Like my man takes a hit, uh, a bunk hit for emergency purposes only. The fucking uh lines of coke comes back up and make it people everywhere, bro. I thought Herogasm was bad. This was way more crazy than Herogasm.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm telling them titties everywhere.

SPEAKER_03:

And I don't get it. Like, how do you how is he like, bro?

SPEAKER_01:

This is HBO was like, here's a budget.

SPEAKER_03:

This is required for the storyline. This is pivotal to the plot. This is pivotal to the plot. Every set of titties.

SPEAKER_01:

They weren't just like just showing them, like they were like doing things, bro. It was like a softcore.

SPEAKER_02:

Really? See, look, that right there is already gonna show me that James Gunn's DCU is gonna be way different.

SPEAKER_03:

Which is like, okay, cool. We got the the projects that are for kids. Superman, very kid friendly movie. But then we got the projects that are like, hey, this is This is for adults. This is for adults.

SPEAKER_01:

You're saying Clayfix gonna be a horror movie. That's true. The amount of fucks that are dropping.

SPEAKER_03:

Here's the thing DC has always had like Like a darker side on like Marvel. Because Marvel's done by Disney, nah. But DC had a lot of like black labels. Black labels were like the horror labels.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, he's not wrong. Yeah, I remember more gruesome scenes that are gonna happen that happen in DC.

SPEAKER_03:

DC has all those like serious graphic novels like Watchmen and others.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, Watchmen, bro. Yeah. Some really like some pretty violent ones. Like if you think about the Vietnam War scenes from Watchmen kind of things like that that ended up in the graphic novels and stuff. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

So I'm glad I'm glad that he's not afraid to go with some darker, mature story.

SPEAKER_02:

But he has the option to.

SPEAKER_03:

In this case, I wouldn't say darker is just an orgy, but Peacemaker is very much not for kids. If you guys haven't seen it, if you haven't seen it.

SPEAKER_01:

You may not let the kids watch it.

SPEAKER_03:

I like one of the characters kind of explained this Well, Peacemaker has always been a very free spirit type of character.

SPEAKER_02:

The one thing I saw that I thought was great in the behind the scenes was that Jane that John Cena's never done drugs. He had to ask him how to do a bong hit. Did you know that? Yeah. Oh really? He didn't know how to smoke weed, bro. He had no idea.

SPEAKER_03:

Because uh somebody said in the comments, it's like John Cena's whole career has depended on him being like maximum healthy, you know, him keeping a healthy lifestyle for the wrestling. I mean, I'm sure you could get into drugs and wrestling. We know a lot of wrestlers did. But he was one that always stayed healthy.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, he was a great like example to kids and stuff. So I guess he never wanted to get on drugs. He never did drugs, he never smoked weed. But it was so funny, bro.

SPEAKER_03:

Like he's like, You can tell because he does the bunk hit, and I was like, nah, he didn't do that. Didn't he do that? I was like, man, nah. After watching that interview, I looked at it, I was like, oh yeah, he doesn't know how to hit that.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, bro. You but you buy it at first, but he's like, I'm trying to make this look legit.

SPEAKER_03:

It's hilarious, man. But uh, but yeah, but I'm really excited for what Peacemaker brings.

SPEAKER_02:

Get ready for a season two Peacemaker. It's gonna be amazing. Get ready for the new Batman series that we got coming out.
